Stéphanie Auberville

Choreographer and Improviser

Based in Brussels since 2013, she has worked as a dramaturg for Morgan Cosquer's circus company, choreographer Marinette Dozeville, and drummer Uriel Barthélémi. She also collaborates with artist Myriam van Imschoot and participates in the performances of the YOUYOU group.

Since the early 1990s, she has been deeply engaged in improvisation, which she considers both a form of writing and a distinct artistic field. In 2002, she met Nita Little, a pioneer of Contact Improvisation, and worked as her assistant from 2005 to 2009. She has been teaching Contact Improvisation and improvisation since 2003 through weekly classes and workshops.

Her teaching focuses on sensory perception and often takes the form of shared explorations with participants.
