Anne-Cécile Chane-Tune
Born on Réunion Island in 1981, Anne-Cécile Chane-Tune discovered her passion for dance at the age of 14 and chose to move to Europe to immerse herself in the artistic and choreographic world. She studied classical and contemporary dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon before continuing her career in Brussels. Starting at age 20, she toured internationally through various Belgian and French productions as well as by contributing to the dynamic teaching network of the Axis Syllabus Research Meshwork.
In 2017, driven by intuition and necessity, she developed her first choreographic and pictorial project, Racines. Her artistic language emerges from an encounter with materials, creating a poetic landscape. It explores the shared essence of our ancestral roots and the interplay of movement between humanity and plant life.
