Apolline Jesupret
Apolline Jesupret defines the energy of her music as a balance between expressivity and introspection, delicacy and exaltation, rhythm and contemplation.
Apolline Jesupret's musical journey began at the age of 7 when she discovered the piano under the guidance of her teacher, Rosella Clini. Improvisation and composition became integral to her daily musical learning, serving as key channels for her creative expression. She later trained at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, studying piano with Rosella Clini and composition with Claude Ledoux.
In 2017, she specialized in piano and instrumental pedagogy at the University of Montreal.
Today, Apolline Jesupret receives commissions for compositions from festivals in Belgium and across Europe, writing for ensembles as well as soloists and chamber musicians.
In 2019, she won first prize in the "Ça Balance Musique Contemporaine" competition, and in 2021, she was awarded the Prix André Souris.
That same year, she joined the Forum de la Création Musicale. In 2023, she composed her first violin concerto, performed at Botanique by Maya Levy and the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles.
She is currently composing a symphonic work that will be performed by the Belgian National Orchestra at Bozar in February 2024.
