ARTS² - A School of the Arts

ARTS² (Arts au Carré) is a Higher School of Arts (École Supérieure des Arts, ESA) located in Mons, offering advanced artistic education of a long-cycle type, organized by the Federation Wallonia-Brussels. Founded through the merger of the Royal Conservatory of Mons and the Higher School of Visual Arts (École Supérieure des Arts Plastiques et Visuels, ESAPV), it boasts a rich artistic tradition.

With approximately 850 students, ARTS² maintains a friendly atmosphere while integrating into a dynamic educational community within the Pôle hainuyer.

The school trains performing and creative artists in four fields: Visual Arts, Theater, Music, and Dance, the latter being specifically based in Charleroi.

Our Dance Program

By joining this program, students train in an environment where academic excellence, creativity, and professional development are at the heart of the educational experience.

They not only enhance their performance skills but also cultivate their ability to actively engage in artistic projects, whether on a local or international scale.

With the Bachelor's and Master's in Dance - Performance, ARTS² offers a unique opportunity within the Federation Wallonia-Brussels to build a solid artistic career in an inspiring and innovative setting.

This intensive four-year program provides total immersion in the world of dance, preparing students for a professional career.

The program is supported by strategic collaborations with Charleroi danse (Hainaut/Brussels) and three prestigious institutions: the Haute École Provinciale de Hainaut-Condorcet (Hainaut), INSAS (Brussels), and ENSAV La Cambre (Brussels).

Already renowned for its excellence in Music, Theater, and Visual Arts, ARTS² expands its offerings by integrating Dance. It thus becomes the only Higher School of Arts in the Federation Wallonia-Brussels to cover all four disciplines, cementing its position at the heart of artistic creation and the training of tomorrow's talents.
